The European University of Technology (EUt+) is thrilled to announce the unfolding of the "EUt+ Week" in Paphos, Cyprus, taking place from November 13 to 17, 2023. This marks the third iteration of the event in Cyprus, notable for its premiere in the enchanting city of Paphos. Serving as the official commencement of the second phase, EUt+ Accelerate, the initiative secures a substantial €14.4 million in funding until 2027 through the Erasmus+ program's "European Universities."

Shaping the Future of European Higher Education

Key Highlights

Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) demonstrates host university excellence by taking the lead in hosting the event. CUT brings together 120 representatives from nine vibrant campuses of the alliance of the European University of Technology (EUt+). A historic moment unfolds with the inaugural partnership, marked by the participation of a 12-member delegation from the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (UNICAS), signifying a significant expansion as the ninth partner. The "Paphos EUt+ Week" finds its home in the new building of the School of Administration, Tourism, Hospitality, and Entrepreneurship at CUT in Paphos, providing a state-of-the-art venue for the unfolding events.

Programmatic Insights

During the "Paphos EUt+ Week," key programmatic insights unfold, shaping the strategic trajectory of EUt+ Accelerate. The week commences with the inauguration of "EUt+ Accelerate": Engaging thematic presentations delve into key themes of Research, Innovation, and Education, providing a comprehensive blueprint for the alliance's strategic focus.

The presentation of the eleven (11) Working Packages in the Second Phase by the Secretarial General of EUt+ Timothee Toury, lays a robust foundation for EUt+ Accelerate, outlining the strategic vision for the coming years. Rectors Board deliberations critically review outcomes from the First Phase, setting the stage for informed decision-making in the alliance. Legal exploration takes center stage as representatives from EUt+ and other alliances -ESEU, EGAI, Uni-GR, EUCOR - engage in discussions with the STYX program, gaining valuable insights into legal nuances and regulatory landscapes.

The online expert presence is notable, with the Project Officer and Policy Advisor Tine Delva contributing valuable insights during the introduction phase. This holistic approach to programmatic insights underscores the commitment of EUt+ to charting a transformative path in European higher education.

CUT: Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence

In conjunction with Paphos EUt+ Week, CUT celebrates not only 20 years of academic excellence but also its active role in European collaborations. A highlight of this celebration will be the unveiling of a new logo during a press conference led by CUT's Rector, Panayiotis Zaphiris.

The collaborative efforts of the nine partner universities underscore a resolute commitment to shaping the future of European higher education. EUt+ stands at the forefront of transformative change, offering a unique and dynamic educational experience.
