European University of Technology Institute of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies - EUTINN

The European University of Technology Institute of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies, EUTINN aims at bringing together the 9 partners of the EUt+ working on the topics of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. This Institute gathers the expertise and know-hows of the 9 partners but also to gather the different ways of working and approaching issues and applications in the field of nanosciences and nanotechnologies.

Description

The European University of Technology Institute of Nanomaterials and Nano/microtechnologies, EUTINN, aims at bringing together all partners of the EUt+ working on the topics of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. EUTINN gathers the expertise and know-hows of the each and all partners of EUt+ in nano-micro related technologies, and brings together different ways of working and approaching issues and applications in the field of nanosciences and nanotechnologies.

EUTINN wants to address the question « think human first… » using nanos’ by creating a culture of high achievement, by promoting ethical conduct of research in nano-related research and by developing strong  relationships with academic and non-academic sectors.

Main Mission & Areas of work

The aim is to work together linking training/teaching and research as well as
innovation and industry-related subjects and projects. The ERI should be the place for
workforce development in nano-related topics and subjects.

EUTINN produces new, innovative research through publications, patents and other format for dissemination as well as within conferences, seminars and workshops.
The lab puts particular attention to the training and the career of Early Stage
Researchers (ESRs) offering them a unique opportunity to perform their research using the resources of each and all 9 members of the EUt+.

This ERI is divided in sub-groups :

Research stream 1-RS1: Nanomaterials
Research stream 2-RS2: Nanotechnologies and sensors
Research stream 3-RS3: Nanotechnologies for communication and information technologies
Research stream 4-RS4: Nanotechnologies for energy applications
Research stream 5-RS5: Nanomedicine & nanobiology
Research stream 6-RS6: Nanomaterials & nanotechnologies: toxicology, pollution, food and agriculture
