Inno-EUt+: A new EIT-funded project for boosting innovation and entrepreneurship led by Cyprus University of Technology

We are happy to announce that the Inno-EUt+ project was selected by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.
The Innovative European University of Technology (Inno-EUt+) is an HEI Initiative project aiming to enhance the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of a new European University Alliance, the European University of Technology (EUt+). The partners of the alliance are already committed to a gradual integration of educational and research activities, co-creating opportunities for their staff and student body across all the campuses of the alliance. EUt+ is about the future and “puts human first”, recognising the roots of their constituents and join forces while with great consideration on inclusion, multilingualism and multiculturalism aspects. Together with our non-HEI partners, the Water Alliance (NL) and Chrysalis LEAP (CY), we span across all corners and the heartland of Europe and we create a strong Knowledge Triangle in order to grow our staff and students and transform both our HEIs and our Alliance.
The project will receive funding from the EIT’s HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education. This new initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) aims to boost the entrepreneurial and innovation capacity of higher education institutions (HEIs).
As part of this project, the 8 members of the EUt+ consortium will be working together with the Water Alliance (NL) and Chrysalis LEAP (CY).
Under the EIT’s HEI Initiative, the project will receive funding of 400 000€, and it will run until December 2021, with the possibility of getting extended for 18 more months.

ABOUT THE EIT’S HEI INITIATIVE
The EIT’s HEI Initiative is a key objective for the EIT as part of its new strategy, the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021−2027. The initiative aims to support higher education institutions with expertise and coaching, access to the EIT innovation ecosystem, and funding, enabling them to develop innovation action plans complementing the needs of individual higher education institutions. As part of its Pilot Phase, the initiative has provided funding to 23 projects, with the next call for proposals expected towards the end of 2021.ABOUT THE EIT
