Myriam Maumy, Assistant Professor at the University of Technology of Troyes joined the project EUt+ in June 2021. Her first visit to the EUt+ was to the Cluj-Napoca University of Technology in July 2021 as leader of Task 3.2 entitled "Intergrating existing Master degrees".
Since January 2022, she has succeeded Timothée Toury as EUt+ Deputy Director for UTT. Every week she participates in the Steering Committee and visits the other 7 partners as often as possible. She also continues to lead task 3.2 of the work package "Common curricula spanning Europe".

About Eut+, she says : "We teach in several languages and we will have a European EUt+ degree. We have several cultures and we will train a European EUt+ Engineer. We have many brains and we will learn to complement each other. We are eight partners and we will be a European campus."

Her research areas are statistics, big data and data science. She is mainly concerned with problems from biology, medicine and industry. Moreover, Myriam is a facilitator for the Grand Est region for the Agence des Mathématiques en Interaction avec l'Industrie et la Société (AMIES). In addition, Myriam is co-director of the specialised Master's degree "Expert Big Data Engineer" of the University of Technology of Troyes.
Myriam obtained a PhD in Mathematics with a specialization in Statistics from the University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI) in 2002 and an "Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches" in September 2020 in the field of statistical modeling applied to biology and medicine from the
University of Strasbourg.
Myriam started her career at the University of Strasbourg (France) in the research team entitled "Statistics" of Institut de Recherche en Mathématique Avancée in September 2004.
Then she joined University of Technology of Troyes in September 2020.

In parallel to her research activities, Myriam has published about ten books on statistics education with the free software R. And when Myriam is not busy building the EUt+, she is admiring the paintings of her daughter Anaëlle...and accompanying her son David in his chess championships.
