Alliance Quality Assurance
Based on the experience of EUt+, the paper Beyond Compatibility: Quality Assurance for Fostering Convergence in European Universities Alliances explores how European University alliances differ from traditional university networks by being structured around a shared commitment to quality assurance as a driver of institutional integration and transformation.
It proposes a quality assurance framework adapted to the experimental nature of alliances, built around two complementary dimensions: strategic relevance and implementation effectiveness.
The paper illustrates this approach through the EUt+ Standards and Guidelines for Harmonization (SGH), a methodology designed to align missions, strategies, and practices across partner universities while respecting institutional diversity and supporting the long-term ambition of deeper institutional convergence.
