Research and Innovation Support Offices

The European Research Office (ERO) is part of the European University of Technology (EUt+)and supports the researchers in EUt+ and the EUt+ European Research Institutes/Groups (ERIs/ERGs). It is the main contact point for researchers of the EUt+ in relation to European funding, research collaborations and provides administrative and technical support for European funded projects. The EUt+ Research Office (ERO) plays a pivotal role in the research and innovation ecosystem of the European University of Technology (EUt+). As a key operational structure, the ERO provides essential administrative support while strategically positioning EUt+ research activities for future growth and excellence.

Acting as a hub between researchers, EUt+ Research Institutes (ERIs), EUt+ Research Groups (ERGs), and other strategic entities such as the EUt+ Grants and Research Support Office (EGRS), the EUt+ Innovation, Technology Transfer Office (EITTO), and the EUt+ Communication Office (ECO), the ERO ensures coherent coordination across the alliance’s research landscape.

The ERO provide different kind of support, such as:

• Identification of calls for research funding suitable for EUt+ participants;
• Provide information regarding open calls, application possibilities and procedures suitable for EUt+ participants;
• Support the creation and writing the non-academic part of the EUt+ application, e.g., information about partner profiles, costing and financial planning, format and structure and adherence to the rules of the call to be applied for;
• Liaise with external project partners and relevant national and EU funding bodies;
• Offer information, consulting and trainings suitable for EUt+ participants;
• Coordinate applications across EUt+;
• Support consortia building for EUt+ applications;
• Facilitate research activity mapping for EUt+ (EUt+ R&I topics).
   

Guided by the EUt+ Common Roadmap for Research and Innovation, the ERO identifies and maps the strengths, trends, and areas of expertise across the eight EUt+ member universities. It supports research initiatives by facilitating connections, sharing expertise, and aligning collective efforts around emerging scientific priorities and societal challenges. It also promotes collaboration and synergies within EUt+ and with external partners at regional, European, and international levels. In parallel, the ERO provides administrative and strategic assistance for research proposal development, project management, and knowledge transfer activities.

The ERO ensures also to link different EUt+ hubs, especially researchers, ERIs and ERGs, the EUt+ Graduate Research School (EGRS), theEUt+ Innovation & Technology Transfer Office (EITTO) and the EUt+ Communication Office (ECOMO).

Through its actions, the ERO reinforces EUt+’s capacity to operate as a unified and competitive research actor at the European level. It enhances the visibility, impact, and societal relevance of EUt+ research and innovation activities, contributing to the creation of a forward-looking, human-centered European University of Technology.
