Research Mapping and roadmap

Research and Innovation Mapping

In its commitment to building a truly integrated and forward-looking research ecosystem, the European University of Technology (EUt+) has developed a Common Roadmap for Research and Innovation. This strategic tool supports the alliance in structuring joint thematic initiatives, shared support services, and research infrastructures across its eight member universities.

The EUt+ Common Roadmap for Research and Innovation is underpinned by a comprehensive set of analyses and tools designed to leverage Research and Innovation (R&I) data.

At the heart of this initiative is an interactive platform that enables dynamic exploration of the research and innovation capabilities across EUt+. Utilising advanced topic modelling, the platform clusters documents related to similar thematic areas, revealing overlaps and synergies between partner institutions and paving the way to new collaborative projects.

Additionally, a series of institutional slide decks complements the platform, providing key charts and visual analyses of each member’s research and innovation activities. These visualizations are based on the EUt+ Mapping Slide Deck, ensuring consistency in data sources and analytical approaches across the network.

Together, the EUt+ Common Roadmap for Research and Innovation and its supporting tools offer a clear, data-driven foundation for strategic decision-making, joint action, and the continual strengthening of EUt+'s research and innovation landscape in line with European values and future challenges.

EUt+ Research Roadmap

The EUt+ Research Roadmap, created through the EXTRAS project, lays out a strategic vision to build a unified and collaborative research ecosystem across the EUt+ alliance. It focuses on four main pillars: aligning research infrastructures, supporting researcher careers and mobility, enhancing societal engagement, and strengthening innovation and industry collaboration.

The roadmap identifies key interdisciplinary areas such as AI and data science, nanotechnologies, sustainability, and human-centered technologies. Its goal is to foster impactful, inclusive, and future-oriented research at the European scale.
